A new twist to an old joke...

How many bloggers does it take to change a lightbulb??????

One... to change the light bulb and to post the fact that the light bulb has been changed
14... to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7... to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
27... to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
41... to correct spelling/grammar flames
6... to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" .
..Another 6... to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive
2... industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
27... to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
12... to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4... to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ
44... to ask what is a "FAQ"?
2... to post reasons why the light bulb burning out is the result of a government conspiracy.
4... to say "didn't we cover this a few months ago?"
43... to say "do a Google search on light bulbs"
5... to say "thank you"
1... lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again

  7. I could run some regression analysis on the problem and have a solution for you in a couple of days. But it will cost you big time. This kind of engineering doesn't come on the cheap!

  8. What about CFLs? Compact Flourescent Lamps, which use less than 1/10 of the energy and last 10 times as long, reducing both your electricity bill and the amount of carbon dioxide (CO_2) generated in burning coal to create the electricity. Although it will cost a little more to buy in the first place, a CFL will save you many times its initial purchase price in electricity over its lifetime.

    ;)

  9. Dorna, Why yes that sounds good, and I'll guarentee you that if it is accomplished........there will have been more Americans working on the problem than jihadist's.
Creators are always hated, by most of the created.....jealousy....
When you are the best the rest nips at your heels......
    Bring it on
I should be mowing my lawn....bye

  10. Whoops, sorry zandperl, I answered your question, but to someone else.
If all the decent people in the world got together to solve a problem.......
ten years later they would still be arguing about how to start.
    Someone has to lead
George Walker Bush has, thank God.
