Katrina

Now for the good news.

America is a very compassionate country. The things that the bulky, bureaucratic and wasteful government (city, state and federal) can never seem to get done, the citizens rally to accomplish. It has always been that way, and the massive relief effort for victims of Katrina will be no different.

While surfing this morning, I came across a wonderful blog, A small victory. I am sure you will enjoy following some of the many links on this page.

I’ll put the link to it on my blog here. I have more than enough political links. I’ll start linking to personal favorites of mine, that show the compassion of America.

I googled for photos with the words hurricane Katrina, and I couldn’t believe it, no pictures.

So I sought and found an excellent source of information, from New Orleans. Yes there is much suffering all along the Gulf Coast, but New Orleans was the largest city in the path of the hurricane, so it’s people have suffered the most.

Kill the goose that laid the Golden Egg

I am shocked.

I know that the trauma of losing your home, all your belongings, your job, your food, and everything you have in the world, would be a heavy load to carry. But if it happened to me, I would not belittle the people sacrificing of their means to help me back on my feet.

The mayor of New Orleans is a poor example of a city leader.

He is playing the blame game, blaming those that are coming to his rescue, those now doing the job he should have done as mayor, blaming us as racists. Yes, in essence, by association this insignificant mayor is accusing me of being a racist, even while I am signing checks to relief organizations that are helping victims of the Hurricane. His behavior is making me wonder, should I continue sacrificing of my means to help people who obviously hate me because of the color of my skin? Well, to help the truly needy, I have to help the greedy. I will do that, because I am hurting for the people who are hurting. I don’t look on the victims as white victims, or black victims, I look at them as American victims. For this reason I can swallow hard and give, even though the mayor of New Orleans has insulted me….no even more than that, He has accused me of being a racist…when it is he that more closely resembles a racist.

Do you see the buses in this picture? The busses belong to the New Orleans School District. For one day, the mayor of New Orleans refused to order an evacuation of the city he was mayor of. He is the only one who could have done it, President Bush could not order it.. President Bush finally convinced the mayor to act like a mayor, but That didn’t last long. Sure he finally ordered an evacuation, but left the busses sitting in this lot. They were fueled up and ready to go. At the time of the evacuation call, these busses were not in floodwater. I am relating only one of many failures of this mayor. Can you say, UNFIT TO LEAD?

Now the mayor is blaming the President, who is President of ALL AMERICA, not just New Orleans, for not being fast enough. I am sick and tired of hearing the hateful rhetoric of the Anti-Bush crowd. His behavior and the behavior of other shallow bigots, has made me more resolved to keep people like him and his buds, OUT OF OFFICE.

I for one am appalled at this behavior, and it has soured my view of New Orleans. When the taxpayers of the USA rebuild the city of New Orleans, I will stay away.

It is a foreign country to me now, since I have been ostracized because of the color of my skin.

I have taken only a few to task, most of the people who did not leave New Orleans when they should have, are nothing like this arrogant weasel of a mayor. They are decent people who have the right to be upset, but they are upset at the wrong person. I imagine they will get around to noticing who is helping them in their time of need, and I imagine they would help me out if I was a victim of such an undeserved fate. I know human nature, and a helper is a helper, a whiner is a whiner.

Pray for America

A sick feeling is coming over me.

I am starting to realize that if I was ever in a nightmare situation like those in New Orleans are right now......there would be nothing but political bickering going on, when I needed help.

Where were you, when I needed you?

I have not heard one bickering, hateful, fingerpointing word from our President, yet, he is being blamed (by the Democrat Leadership) for causing the Hurricane, encouraging the looting, slowing down the relief effort, and God only knows what else: WHILE he is getting help and cooperation from only a little more than half of America. And as a side note, where is Jesse Jackson, Cindy Sheeham or Al Sharpton???? Still at Crawford???? You won’t find them at any place that help is needed…that’s a fact…they only show up for the cameras, and the adoration of the Main Street Media, whoops the Mostly Sewage Media.

Would it be any better if Hillary was Prez?

I ask myself this, and I have to be truthful………

Yes, it probably would be better for the citizen’s now in peril if a Democrat was the executive cheif of America. And here is the reason, the stupid Republicans don't play hard ball politics, they love America. They would help Americans in need, even if they were temporarily out of power. They wouldn’t hinder. These are the facts as I see them, and ………

Prove me wrong, find me one nice thing you have heard said about the effort of The President, our government workers, our military, our churches, or even what the average citizen has done to help the citizens in the Gulf States, in their time of need. YES find me one nice thing that came from the lips of one Democrat Leader since Monday evening, thanking, acknowledging or even wishing our country Good fortune. You would stand a better chance of finding something dry and wholesome in New Orleans at the present time, than finding something good the Democrat Leadership has said about America in the last 5 years.. It is wall to wall blame President Bush for everything….nothing has changed. The party that knows every mistake George Bush has ever made, or will make, has never had a suggestion as to what they would do to make America Better…..not in the last 42 or so years. Yes, can you say John F. Kennedy???

To get control of the body politic back, the Democrat leaders will do anything, yes, anything.

This is in no way an indictment of the rank and file of the Democrat Party. They are just as busy as I am in caring for the hurt, and not worrying about political points, they just want to do something to help in this hour of crisis. I have seen this with my own eyes. So, it is evident to me, that the leadership of the Democrat Party is out of step with the rank and file of the party, Good, I will close ranks and walk side by side with my Democrat friends, to help America.

But now back to the question, Would America be better off with Hillary as President?

Yes!

Let me explain.

Long ago, God gave a King of Israel wisdom like no other human had possessed before, or will ever possess.

The Kings name was Solomon.

You can read secular history and find references to the wisdom of King Solomon. Other Kings and Queens of the time, traveled to Jerusalem to sit in the court of Solomon, just to witness his wisdom.

As recorded in the Bible, Two women and one baby were given audience with King Solomon….both women claimed to be the mother of the baby…..well that was impossible, and Solomon was asked to solve the problem, to determine which woman was the mother of the baby. Without hesitation, King Solomon ask for the sword of one of his soldiers, and said “The only way to be fair, would be to cut the baby asunder and give one half to each mother. You may know what happened next, the real mother of the baby…….cried out, no, NO NO! Let her have the baby.

King Solomon commanded that the baby be given to the mother that was willing to give the baby away, to save the babies life.

Yes, the real mother would do anything to save the life of her baby, even to give it up to a counterfeit mother.
I see a similar situation in America now. I don’t even have to elucidate, because you are smart enough to know the truth of what I am saying.

Yes, for the sake of America, I would vote for Hillary.

Yes, I may be voting Democrat in the future, for the sake of America, because Republicans will continue loving America even with Hillary as President.

Transparent and sickening, the new lows obtained by the media and Democrat Leadership, can you say Howard Dean?

The Big Easy

I want to say a few things about the horrific situation that nature brought about in the Gulf States of America, and specifically New Orleans. Nature knows no boundaries, has no favorites, nature simply is, and cannot be tamed or destroyed. To imagine that we as humans could endanger God’s Creation, is folly. Sure, we can soil our nest so to speak, but this is God’s Creation, and His laws apply, not ours. At the founding of the earth, God knew Hurricane Katrina would devastate the Gulf Coast of American in the year we call 2005. To a God that knows the number of hairs on my head, and knows how many grains of sand the earth contains, I do not question Him or His creations; I simply give God the reverence He deserves. My God is awesome, and as creator of all we see, taste, smell, hear or feel, I will not question or curse His creation.

BUT, I still weep at the utter devastation that America has been visited with. AND THE LAST THING I WOULD WANT TO DO, IS TO LAY THE BLAME FOR THIS AT ANYONES FEET. IT SIMPLY HAPPENED.

My American brothers and sisters down south are hurting in a way I cannot fathom, never having lost all I had, and escaped with only the clothes on my back. Or to have had family members swept away to sea, while helpless to do anything for them.

From all I have seen and heard about the devastation, I know there is much to do; just to help some of our citizens survive. Remember how helpless you felt when we saw the frantic attempts to sift through the smoking ruins of the World Trade Center Towers? Just hoping you would see someone plucked out of the ruins? Right now a similar frantic attempt is being made to save the lives of any that we can. Time is running out for those trapped in attics in the city of New Orleans, or the many other Gulf cities. Just like the terrible choice that hundreds had to make on Sept. 11, 2001 in the burning WTC Towers, between jumping from a broken window almost a thousand feet above the streets of New York City, or being burnt to death in the raging inferno: many people had to make the decision, “do I try to swim in the rising waters, or walk up the stairs to the next floor, or the attic?”

We all know that America will pour out help to the needy as only Americans can. We are very practiced at giving help to the helpless. How much more helpless could anyone be, than to have a hurricane destroy everything you have?

I won’t join in the questioning of what will the rest of the world do to help. We can do it alone, but would take any help any give.

In the last twenty years, America has had many miraculous escapes from a high death toll when hurricanes have visited our soil from the Atlantic Ocean.

Maybe we had been lulled into thinking, “it’ll be like the last ten or twelve hurricanes…..much damage to buildings and trees, but not many deaths.”

It wasn’t to be, so, now we must work feverishly to rescue any humans still trapped in buildings or clinging to flotsam.

Join me in praying for the needy at this time.

I will not use this tragedy to attempt to score political points in battle with my political foes. In fact; if I was in the Big Easy at this moment and saw James Carville floundering in the flood waters, I would throw him a line……..I wouldn’t hesitate, he is an American, and I kinda like the Ragin’ Cajun.

Do you fathom yet the scope of this event? There are few more historic cities than New Orleans, and everything points to there needing to be a New, New Orleans in the future.

Big Easy, I know the history of the place, and it is a colorful and historic city. Occupying the basin at the mouth of one of the longest rivers in the world, the Missouri River to Mississippi River, to the Caribbean , New Orleans has been a very strategic city in America’s History.

Let’s hope when the city is rebuild, it will be in a safer place.

I love Dixieland bands, “jambalaya, crawfish pie, and me oh my oh, son of a gun gonna have big fun on the bayou” I say has been, for let’s be frank and truthful, rebuilding a city, 20 feet below sea level would be insane. I know people will argue, but please, consider this devastation to be a lesson. If we spend billions to rebuild the city, another hurricane could find landfall there, and we are back to square one.

We all can Help

I have been trying unsuccessfully to find script for a link to the Salvation Army, for donations. I want to put it here at Sanity's Bluff. The website of Salvation Army is overwhelmed. Typical American Behaviour. Every time a disaster happens, the good of America shows. The churches and charities are swamped right now. I want to encourage you to lift a prayer for the citizens of the Gulf States. I also want to encourage you to cut your personal use of your automobile or truck, in half. Combine errands, car pool, call around and shop together.
Call around to your neighbors and plan group travel. Several families could go to the grocery store together in one minivan. Be creative, find a way to cut your gasoline or diesel use in half.

Of Hurricanes and War

At the same time Americans are pulling the wallet out of their back pockets, or reaching into the opened purse, to help fellow Americans who have lost so much because of the Hurricane…….

…….there is a small band of people who are really upset, (in fact they are cursing God at this time) all for the wrong reason.

Don’t expect Cindy Sheetham to be getting any face time on TV in the next few weeks. She is probably seething mad, and still just as wrong. She is past history; just another JaneFonda wannabe. Her four weeks of fame and worship by the MSM is over. I think God Himself was tired of listening to her lies about a good man.

I know Michael Moore, George Soros and Bin Laden are all cursing God for getting the war off of the front page.

The MSM is in a bind……they know, American’s can multitask.

We are quite capable of fighting a war that needs to be fought and at the same time, helping our neighbors. Hey, we’re Americans.

Gas prices, looneytune moms, or rich bigots will not get in the way of Americas compassion for others.

We will dig deep and often into our pockets, to help our brothers and sisters who are in pain.

We won’t complain about the cost, and we will risk our comfort, because so many are in need.

An interesting fact.

Even while the bloodiest war on the American Continent, the Civil War, was being fought, Hard working people were building the greatest railroad in the world. Even as the war raged on, The Federal Government of the United States was helping the needy around the globe.

The next time you start to open your mouth to put the United States of America down, look at what is happening and will happen along the gulf coast. Wal-Mart was the first to pledge millions, and they sent a fleet of trucks and drivers to help with the cleanup. Many other companies didn't wait to be asked for help.

I am challenging George Soros and MoveOn.org to donate a sum equal to what they have spent trashing and lying about our president, in the last 5 years, Yes donate it to the Salvation Army. The churches of America are already at work. The Salvation Army is feeding hundreds of thousands. The Red Cross is busy. And, I imagine the evil Boy Scouts are already helping.

I wonder how much help the rich trial lawyers of the ACLU have donated so far? There is nothing like a tragedy to show the good heart of most Americas.

Perhaps God has tired of hearing the constant whining and complaining by the American Left. Mark my words, the left will attempt to put the blame for this storm, and any destruction or misery involved, on President George W. Bush. We all know that, no good deed will go unslandered by the MSM, and friends. When more troubles arise, it will somehow be George Bush's fault, or the evil conservatives. I am hoping the left can rise above political postering, now that there is a National Emergency. I really do, but their track record is not that great. It only took 6 months for them to start using 9/11 for political gain.

Can you say...."laughingstock"?

I imagine in the next few weeks the left will not be able to contain themselves, they will put their UnAmericanism on public display, yet their schemes will be transparent. People have learned to question the MSM, and the American Left. When I read a New York Times Article, the first question I ask myself, is, "I wonder if this could be true"?

The anti-war crowd is strange. Near the Presidents ranch we find a bunch of misfits who hate America. There we find the darlings of the media, Michael Moore, George Soros, and an assortment of sworn enemies of the USofA.
Well they are not my darlings.
The MSM has become a joke. Almost all of my Democrat friends at work, laugh at the one sided media.
The media likes polls, When will you take a poll about your own believability Main Stream Media?

From this point forward when you see MSM…referred to in my writings, I am not talking about the Main Stream Media. I have a new name to fit the initials MSM.

I will be thinking about the media as
MOSTLY SEWAGE MEDIA
For that is what it is.
